Lỗi 0x80242016 xảy ra khi cài Feature Update qua Windows Update trên Windows 10/11. Nguyên nhân: thành phần Windows Update không nhất quán, service phụ thuộc bị tắt, file tạm WU hỏng, file hệ thống hỏng, hoặc bug Windows Search (trên Insider build).
Chạy Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Windows + R → control → Enter (mở Control Panel).
- Tìm "troubleshoot" → Troubleshooting → System and Security → Fix problems with Windows Update.
- Chạy troubleshooter, áp dụng fix nếu có → khởi động lại → thử cập nhật lại.
Khởi động các service phụ thuộc của Windows Update
Các service sau phải ở chế độ Auto: wuauserv, bits, cryptsvc, trustedinstaller.
- Mở Command Prompt admin (Windows + R → cmd → Ctrl + Shift + Enter).
- Chạy lần lượt:
SC config wuauserv start=auto SC config bits start=auto SC config cryptsvc start=auto SC config trustedinstaller start=auto
- Khởi động lại máy và thử cập nhật.
Reset các thành phần Windows Update (SoftwareDistribution, Catroot2)
- Mở Command Prompt admin.
- Chạy chuỗi lệnh:
net stop wuauserv net stop cryptSvc net stop bits net stop msiserver Ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old Ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old net start wuauserv net start cryptSvc net start bits net start msiserver
- Khởi động lại máy và thử cập nhật lại.
Chạy quét SFC và DISM
- Command Prompt admin → chạy
sfc /scannow
→ chờ xong → khởi động lại. - Sau khi khởi động, chạy
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
(cần internet). - Khởi động lại lần nữa và kiểm tra.
Tắt Windows Search (nếu dùng Insider Preview)
- Windows + R → services.msc → Enter.
- Tìm Windows Search → chuột phải → Properties.
- Tab General → Startup type: Manual → Apply.
- Khởi động lại máy.
Repair Install / Clean Install Windows
Nếu mọi cách thất bại, hệ thống bị hỏng nặng. Nên làm Repair Install (In-place upgrade) để giữ file cá nhân, app, cài đặt. Tham khảo hướng dẫn chính thức cho Windows 10/11.
