Khắc phục lỗi 0x80070490 khi thêm tài khoản vào Mail app Windows 11/10

Khi Add an account trong Mail app Windows 11/10, có thể gặp Error 0x80070490 (Gmail, Hotmail, Outlook...). Thông báo:

Something went wrong. We're sorry, but we weren't able to do that. Error code: 0x80070490

Sửa lỗi 0x80070490 trong Mail app

Lỗi do file/thủ tục liên quan thư mục bị hỏng. 4 giải pháp:

1. Reset Windows Mail App
2. Uninstall & reinstall Mail App
3. Chạy System File Checker
4. Kích hoạt Built-in Administrator account

1] Reset Windows Mail App

1. Settings → Apps → Apps & features
2. Tìm Mail and Calendar → chọn
3. Click Advanced options
4. Khu vực Reset → click Reset
5. Xác nhận Reset lần nữa

Chi tiết: Win+I → Settings → Apps → Apps & features → Mail and Calendar → Advanced options → Reset → Reset xác nhận.

2] Gỡ và cài lại Mail App

• Chuột phải Start → Windows PowerShell (Admin)
• UAC → Yes
• Chạy: Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps | Remove-AppxPackage
• Đóng PowerShell → mở Microsoft Store → tìm Mail and Calendar → Download & Install

3] Chạy System File Checker

• Mở Command Prompt Admin
• Chạy: sfc /scannow
• Đợi hoàn tất → Restart Windows → Thử thêm email lại

4] Kích hoạt Built-in Administrator account

1. Win+I → Run dialog (hoặc Win+R)
2. Gõ cmd → Ctrl+Shift+Enter (mở Admin)
3. UAC → Yes
4. Gõ: net user administrator /active:yes → Enter
5. Đóng CMD → Restart PC
6. Đăng nhập tài khoản Administrator → Thử setup lại
