Khắc phục lỗi đăng nhập tài khoản Microsoft 0x800704EC trên Windows 10/11 – Hướng dẫn nhanh

Lỗi Windows phổ biến, từ bug nhỏ tự hết đến BSOD phức tạp. Hôm nay chúng ta giải quyết mã lỗi 0x800704EC – liên quan đến tài khoản Microsoft dùng đăng nhập UWP apps (Windows Defender, Microsoft Store). Lỗi xuất hiện khi bật Defender (icon xám, không phản hồi) hoặc mở Store (không load, báo lỗi).

Cách dùng Microsoft Account trên Windows 10/11

Microsoft Account đồng bộ cài đặt, mật khẩu, theme, browser... trên nhiều thiết bị. Thường cần đăng nhập bằng tài khoản Outlook/Hotmail/Xbox/Skype/Office 365/OneDrive. Nếu chưa có → tạo mới tại màn hình đăng nhập Windows.

  1. Bên cạnh "No account?" → Create one.
  2. Điền tên, mật khẩu, email (có sẵn hoặc tạo mới), quốc gia, ngày sinh → Next.
  3. Nhập mật khẩu Windows hiện tại → Next.
  4. Tạo PIN (tùy chọn) hoặc Skip.

Sau đó dùng account này đăng nhập UWP apps. Nhiều user báo lỗi 0x800704EC khi truy cập Defender/Store.

Lỗi 0x800704EC là gì?

Thông báo: Can't sign in with a Microsoft account – This program is blocked by group policy. For more information contact your system administrator. (Error Code: 0x8000704ec)

Nghĩa: Chương trình UWP không mở do vấn đề với Microsoft Account dùng để sign-in. Có thể do: vừa đổi mật khẩu chưa cập nhật, máy không kết nối được server Microsoft, Group Policy chặn, antivirus thứ ba xung đột, file hệ thống hỏng.

Nguyên nhân gây lỗi

  • Antivirus thứ ba đang chạy → tự tắt Windows Defender để tránh xung đột.
  • File hệ thống Windows bị mất/hỏng (cài đặt/gỡ phần mềm/phần cứng không đúng cách).
  • Windows Defender bị tắt qua Group Policy Editor.
  • Xung đột real-time protection giữa Defender và antivirus thứ ba.
  • Malware, shutdown không đúng cách, tấn công phần cứng → hỏng registry/file hệ thống.

Khắc phục lỗi 0x800704EC cho Windows Defender & UWP Apps

Fix 1: Cho phép Microsoft Account trên PC (Group Policy / Registry)

Quả Local Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc)

  1. Win+R → gpedit.msc → Enter.
  2. Đường dẫn: Computer Configuration → Windows Settings → Security Settings → Local Policies → Security Options.
  3. Tìm Accounts: Block Microsoft accounts → double-click → chọn This policy is disabled → Apply/OK.
  4. Lưu ý: Windows Home không có gpedit.msc mặc định, hãy dùng Registry hoặc bật gpedit trước.

Quả Registry Editor (regedit)

  1. Win+R → regedit → Enter. (Backup registry trước).
  2. Đến: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System.
  3. Tìm key NoConnectedUser (giá trị 1 hoặc 3) → double-click → đổi Value data = 0 → OK.
  4. Restart PC.

Fix 2: Tắt bảo vệ Virus thứ ba (Real-time protection)

Windows chỉ cho 1 real-time protection cùng lúc. Tắt antivirus thứ ba → Defender tự bật.

Vào settings antivirus → tắt Real-time protection. Không cần uninstall.

Fix 3: Gỡ hoàn toàn Antivirus thứ ba

Nếu Fix 2 không được → uninstall hẳn.

  1. Task Manager → End process của antivirus.
  2. Control Panel → Uninstall a program → chọn antivirus → Uninstall → làm theo wizard → reboot.
  3. Một số antivirus (Avast...) có self-defense: phải tắt trong Settings → Troubleshooting → bỏ tick Enable Self-Defense → mới gỡ được.
  4. Sau gỡ: dùng Removal Tool chính hãng của hãng antivirus đó để dọn sạch file/registry thừa (tìm trên web hãng).
  5. Quan trọng: Bật ngay Windows Defender sau khi gỡ để không bị trần trúi.

Fix 4: Bật các Windows Service cần thiết cho Defender

Services bị tắt (do malware/glitch) khiến Defender không chạy.

  1. Win+R → services.msc → Enter.
  2. Kiểm tra và Start (nếu chưa chạy) các dịch vụ:
    • Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection Service
    • Windows Defender Antivirus Network Inspection Service
    • Windows Defender Antivirus Service
    • Windows Defender Firewall
    • Windows Defender Security Center Service
  3. Restart PC → test Defender.

Fix 5: Sửa giá trị Registry Key của Windows Defender

  1. Regedit → đến: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender.
  2. Tìm key DisableAntiSpyware (hoặc DisableAntiVirus) → double-click → Value data = 0 → OK.
  3. Reboot → check Defender.

Fix 6: Sửa file hệ thống hỏng bằng SFC & DISM

  1. CMD Admin (Win+X → Command Prompt Admin).
  2. Chạy DISM trước: DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth (nếu Windows Update lỗi: dùng source offline).
  3. Sau đó: sfc /scannow → đợi 100%.
  4. Kết quả mong muốn: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files and successfully repaired them → reboot → test Defender.

Fix 7: Bật Defender qua Local Group Policy Editor

  1. gpedit.msc → Local Computer Policy → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Windows Defender.
  2. Double-click Turn Off Windows Defender → chọn Disabled → Apply/OK.
  3. Reboot.

Nếu đến đây vẫn lỗi → cân nhắc Update Windows hoặc Clean Install.

Khắc phục lỗi 0x800704EC trên Microsoft Store

Cùng mã lỗi nhưng nguyên nhân/giải pháp khác: Store bị chặn bởi Group Policy hoặc bị deregistered.

Fix 1: Registry Method

  1. Regedit → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsStore.
  2. Key RemoveWindowsStore → Value data = 0 (nếu không tồn tại key → tạo mới: New → Key → WindowsStore → New → DWORD 32-bit → RemoveWindowsStore → 0).
  3. Reboot.

Fix 2: Group Policy Editor

  1. gpedit.msc → Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → Windows Components → Store.
  2. Tìm Turn off the Store application → Settings → chọn Not Configured hoặc Disabled → Apply/OK.
  3. Nếu bị xám (grayed out) → không sửa được → chỉ dùng Store trên máy cá nhân.

Fix 3: PowerShell Re-register Store

  1. Start → PowerShell → Run as Administrator → Yes (UAC).
  2. Chạy lệnh: 
    Get-AppXPackage -Name Microsoft.WindowsStore | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml" -Verbose}
  3. Reboot.

Tóm tắt
