Khắc phục vòng lặp 'Restart your computer to install important updates' Windows Update

Sửa vòng lặp "Restart your computer to install important updates": Windows Update quan trọng nhưng đôi khi fail và rơi vào vòng lặp vô tận: mỗi lần mở Update đều báo "Restart your computer to install important updates", restart xong mở lại vẫn báo đó. Người dùng chán nản tắt hẳn Windows Update.

Nguyên nhân: Registry key RebootRequired bị corrupt → Windows không update được → lặp lại yêu cầu restart. Fix đơn giản: xóa key này. Nhưng không phải ai cũng thành công, nên liệt kê đầy đủ giải pháp.

Lưu ý: Tạo điểm khôi phục trước khi thực hiện.

Phương pháp 1: Xóa Registry Key RebootRequired

  1. Win + R → regedit → Enter.
  2. Đến: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\RebootRequired
  3. Chuột phải RebootRequired Key → Delete.
  4. Reboot → thử update lại.

Phương pháp 2: Clean Boot

  1. Win + R → msconfig → Tab General → Selective Startup → bỏ chọn "Load startup items".
  2. Tab Services → check Hide all Microsoft services → Disable all.
  3. Restart → thử update.
  4. Nếu xong → do phần mềm thứ 3. Bật từng nhóm service → reboot → tìm service gây lỗi.
  5. Sau khi xong: msconfig → Normal startup để boot bình thường.

Phương pháp 3: Reset Transactional Logfiles

  1. CMD Admin → gõ lần lượt (gõ Y nếu hỏi xác nhận):
    fsutil resource setautoreset true %SystemDrive%\
    attrib -r -s -h %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\TxR\*
    del %SystemRoot%\System32\Config\TxR\*
    attrib -r -s -h %SystemRoot%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine\*
    del %SystemRoot%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine\*.tm*
    del %SystemRoot%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine\*.blf
    del %SystemRoot%\System32\SMI\Store\Machine\*.regtrans-ms
  2. Nếu không chạy được → boot Safe Mode → chạy lại.
  3. Reboot → thử update.

Phương pháp 4: Chạy Windows Update Troubleshooter

  1. Search "troubleshooting" → Troubleshooting.
  2. Trái: View all → chọn Windows Update.
  3. Làm theo hướng dẫn → Restart.

Phương pháp 5: Đổi tên thư mục SoftwareDistribution

  1. CMD Admin → dừng services:
    net stop wuauserv
    net stop cryptSvc
    net stop bits
    net stop msiserver
  2. Đổi tên folder:
    ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
    ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 catroot2.old
  3. Khởi động lại services:
    net start wuauserv
    net start cryptSvc
    net start bits
    net start msiserver
  4. Reboot.

Phương pháp 6: Chạy DISM Tool

  1. CMD Admin → DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth → chờ xong.
  2. Chạy tiếp: DISM /image:C:\ /cleanup-image /revertpendingactions
  3. Reboot.

Phương pháp 7: Dùng Microsoft Official Troubleshooter (Fixit)

Tải và chạy công cụ Fixit chính thức của Microsoft cho Windows Update.
