Tạo restore point trước.

Phương pháp 1: Khởi động lại Windows Installer Service

  1. Windows + R → services.msc Enter.
  2. Tìm Windows Installer service → chuột phải → Properties.
  3. Nếu chưa chạy, nhấn Start.
  4. Nếu đang chạy, chuột phải → Restart.
  5. Thử cài lại chương trình bị lỗi.

Phương pháp 2: Sửa đổi Remote Procedure Call (RPC) Service

  1. Windows + R → services.msc.
  2. Tìm Remote Procedure Call (RPC) → double-click.
  3. Tab Log On → tích Local System account và Allow service to interact with desktop.
  4. Reboot và kiểm tra.
  5. Nếu chưa được, mở lại RPC Properties → tab Log On → tích This account → Browse → gõ Network Service → OK (mật khẩu tự điền).
  6. Nếu không tìm thấy Network Service, dùng: NT Authority\NetworkService.
  7. Restart máy và kiểm tra.

Phương pháp 3: Đăng ký lại Windows Installer (Re-register)

  1. Windows + X → Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Gõ lần lượt (Enter sau mỗi dòng):
    %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister
%windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver
%windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister
%windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver
  3. Reboot.
  4. Nếu chưa xong: Windows + R → %windir%\system32 Enter.
  5. Tìm file Msiexec.exe, ghi nhớ đường dẫn chính xác (ví dụ: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe).
  6. Mở Registry (regedit).
  7. Đến khóa: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer
  8. Chọn MSIServer, bên phải double-click ImagePath.
  9. Nhập đường dẫn Msiexec.exe vừa ghi + “/V” → ví dụ: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe /V.
  10. Boot vào Safe Mode (theo hướng dẫn).
  11. Trong Safe Mode: Windows + X → Command Prompt (Admin).
  12. Gõ:
    msiexec /regserver

  13. Đóng tất cả, boot bình thường.

Phương pháp 4: Reset Windows Installer Service qua file .reg

  3. Save as type: All Files.
  4. Tên file: MSIrepair.reg (phải có đuôi .reg).
  5. Lưu ra Desktop.
  6. Chuột phải file MSIrepair.reg → Run as Administrator.
  7. Reboot và kiểm tra.

Phương pháp 5: Cài lại Windows Installer (chỉ áp dụng Windows cũ)

  1. Windows + X → Command Prompt (Admin).
  2. Gõ lần lượt:
    cd %windir%\system32
attrib -r -s -h dllcache
ren msi.dll msi.old
ren msiexec.exe msiexec.old
ren msihnd.dll msihnd.old
exit
  3. Reboot, tải Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable từ Microsoft.
  4. Cài gói redistributable, reboot.
