Windows không cài cập nhật nếu ổ cứng đầy. Xóa file rác lớn giải phóng bộ nhớ, sửa lỗi chung. Dùng Storage Sense xóa file tạm, log cài đặt, cache...

  1. Windows + I → Windows Settings.
  2. Click System.
  3. Bên trái click Storage → bên phải chọn link Configure Storage Sense or run it now.
  4. Kéo xuống section Free up space now → click Clean now.

Sau khi dọn dẹp, thử cập nhật Windows lại.

Lưu ý: Cách này có thể không liên quan trực tiếp đến lỗi 0x8007000d.

Cách 2: Quét Malware

Virus/Malware thường gây lỗi "setup cannot continue due to corrupted installation file". Quét định kỳ bằng Windows Defender:

  1. Windows + I → Settings.
  2. Click Update & Security.
  3. Bên trái click Windows Security.
  4. Chọn Virus & threat protection.
  5. Click Scan Options.

Cách 4: Sửa File Hỏng (SFC & DISM)

Dùng SFC (System File Checker) và DISM (Deployment Image Servicing and Management) quét/xóa file hỏng.

  1. Phím Windows → gõ Command Prompt → Run as administrator.
  2. Click Yes UAC.
  3. Gõ sfc /scannow → Enter.
  4. Quét vài phút. Kết quả: không vi phạm / không thực hiện được / tìm thấy sửa thành công / tìm thấy nhưng không sửa được một số.
  5. Xong → Restart PC.
  6. Mở lại Command Prompt as admin → chạy 3 lệnh DISM (cần internet): 
    dism.exe /Online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
dism.exe /Online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
dism.exe /Online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

Cách 5: Dùng Command Prompt (CMD)

Khắc phục lỗi 0x8007000d bằng CMD.

  1. Mở Command Prompt as admin.
  2. Chạy lần lượt các lệnh: 
    SC config wuauserv start= auto
SC config bits start= auto
SC config cryptsvc start= auto
SC config trustedinstaller start= auto
  3. Chạy xong → Restart PC.

Cách 6: Bật Windows Update Service

Kiểm tra dịch vụ Windows Update có chạy không (quản lý phân phối cập nhật từ Microsoft).

Tùy chọn 1: Qua Services

  1. Phím Windows → gõ Services → Run as administrator.
  2. Kéo xuống chọn Windows Update service.
  3. Chuột phải → Properties (hoặc double-click).
  4. Set Startup type: Automatic → Apply > OK.

Tùy chọn 2: Qua Local Group Policy Editor

Nếu Windows Update component bị tắt → lỗi 0x8007000d.

  1. Phím Windows → gõ gpedit.msc → Enter.
  2. Double-click: Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates.
  3. Double-click: System → bên phải kéo xuống double-click Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair.
  4. Chọn Enabled → Apply > OK.

Cách 7: Khởi Động Lại Windows Update Service (Manual)

Thủ công restart service để sửa lỗi "setup cannot continue due to corrupted installation file".

  1. Windows + R → gõ services.msc → OK.
  2. Kéo xuống → chuột phải Windows Update.
  3. Nếu status Running → click Stop (nếu không Running thì bỏ qua).
  4. Đợi 3-5 giây prompt dừng service.
  5. Windows + E mở File Explorer → đường dẫn: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore.
  6. Ctrl + A chọn tất cả → chuột phải khoảng trống → Delete.
  7. Đi đến: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download → xóa tất cả file.
  8. Quay lại Services → chuột phải Windows Update → Start.
  9. Đợi 3-5 giây prompt khởi động service → đóng Services.

Cách 8: Xóa File Software Distribution Trong Safe Mode

Nếu cách 7 không xóa được hoặc báo lỗi, dùng Safe Mode.

  1. Phím Windows → gõ Recovery options → Open.
  2. Settings window → click Restart now dưới Advanced startup.
  3. Chọn Troubleshoot.
  4. Chọn Advanced options.
  5. Chọn Startup Settings → Restart.
  6. PC reboot → màn hình Startup Settings → nhấn F5 để Enable Safe Mode with Networking.
  7. Windows + E → đường dẫn: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
  8. Chọn tất cả file trong folder SoftwareDistribution → Delete.
  9. Restart PC → thử cập nhật Windows Update.

Cách 9: Reset Windows Update Components

Sửa chữa BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer, Windows Update services, folder SoftwareDistribution, Catroot2.

  1. Mở Command Prompt as admin.
  2. Chạy lần lượt các lệnh: 
    net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
  3. Đợi chạy xong → kiểm tra lỗi 0x8007000d đã khắc phục chưa.

Cách 10: Tạm Thời Tắt Antivirus

Antivirus quá "hung hăng" can thiệp update → lỗi 0x8007000d hoặc 0xc1900204. Tắt tạm thời (ví dụ Avast):

  1. Icon Antivirus Taskbar → chuột phải.
  2. Chọn Avast shields control → chọn tạm tắt: 10 phút / 1 giờ / cho đến khi restart / vĩnh viễn.
  3. Xác nhận prompt.
  4. Cửa sổ chính hiện "All your shields are turned off". Để bật lại: click TURN ON.

  1. Windows + R → gõ appwiz.cpl → Enter.
  2. Click View installed updates → chọn bản cập nhật gây lỗi → Uninstall → xác nhận.
  3. Windows + E → đường dẫn: C:/windows/softwaredistribution/download → xóa tất cả.
  4. Truy cập trang tải Windows 10 Update Assistant → click Update now.
  5. Quá trình có thể chậm ở 60-85% → đợi xong → Restart PC.
  6. Mở Settings → Update & Security → Check for Updates → đảm bảo hiện "You're up to date".

Lưu ý: Nếu dùng Mixed Reality software → gỡ bỏ (can thiệp Windows Update gây lỗi 0x8007000d).

Cách 13: Tải Cập Nhật Thủ Công

Nếu đã loại trừ file hỏng, malware, service chạy tốt mà vẫn lỗi → tải thủ công.

  1. Windows + I → Settings → Update & Security.
  2. Click View update history.
  3. Ghi nhớ KB number của bản cập nhật failed to install.
  4. Tìm KB number trên Microsoft Update Catalog.
  5. Chọn bản cập nhật tương thích hệ thống → click ADD để tải và cài thủ công.
