Sửa lỗi "Total Identified Windows Installations: 0" khi boot/repair Windows

Khắc phục lỗi "Total Identified Windows Installations: 0" trong môi trường khôi phục

Lỗi xuất hiện khi boot từ media cài Windows chọn Repair → Command Prompt chạy bootrec /rebuildbcd nhưng báo 0 cài đặt Windows. Dù Windows thực tế vẫn còn trên ổ cứng. Cần media cài Windows (USB/DVD) để sửa.

Chuẩn bị: Tạo Windows Installation Media

  1. Tải Media Creation Tool từ Microsoft.
  2. Chạy tool → Accept → chọn Create installation media for another PC.
  3. Bỏ tích Use recommended options → chọn Language, Edition, Architecture (64-bit) khớp máy hỏng.
  4. Chọn USB flash drive (hoặc ISO burn ra DVD) → chọn USB → Next đợi tạo xong.

Giải pháp 1: Khôi phục Registry (Registry Recovery)

Sửa các entry Registry hỏng trong C:\Windows\System32\config bằng bản backup trong C:\Windows\tmp.

  1. Boot từ USB cài Windows → chọn Repair your computer.
  2. Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Command Prompt.
  3. Chạy lệnh điều hướng & thay thế 5 file Registry:
    cd windows
cd system32
cd config
del c:\windows\system32\config\sam
del c:\windows\system32\config\security
del c:\windows\system32\config\software
del c:\windows\system32\config\default
del c:\windows\system32\config\system
copy c:\windows\tmp\software c:\windows\system32\config\software
copy c:\windows\tmp\system c:\windows\system32\config\system
copy c:\windows\tmp\sam c:\windows\system32\config\sam
copy c:\windows\tmp\security c:\windows\system32\config\security
copy c:\windows\tmp\default c:\windows\system32\config\default
  4. Restart → boot bình thường (không cắm USB) test.

Giải pháp 2: Boot Recovery (Sửa BCD - Boot Configuration Data)

Rebuild BCD store từ đầu.

  1. Boot USB → Repair → Troubleshoot → Advanced Options → Command Prompt.
  2. Chạy: bootrec /rebuildbcd → sẽ báo "Total identified Windows installations: 0".
  3. Chạy lần lượt để backup & rebuild BCD:
    bcdedit /export c:\bcdbackup
attrib c:\boot\bcd -h -r -s
ren c:\boot\bcd bcd.old
bootrec /rebuildbcd
  4. Lúc này sẽ thấy: "Total identified Windows installations: 1 [1] D:\Windows Add installation to boot list? Yes/No/All:" → gõ Y → Enter.
  5. Thông báo "The operation completed successfully" → restart → boot bình thường.
