Khắc phục lỗi Windows Installer 'Access Denied' trên Windows 10

Khắc phục lỗi Windows Installer Access Denied: Nếu gặp thông báo "Access Denied" khi cài đặt chương trình mới trên Windows 10, hoặc lỗi "Msiexec.exe Access is Denied", bạn đã đến đúng nơi. Nguyên nhân chính là các tệp Windows Installer bị hỏng/hư hỏng.

Khi cài đặt/gỡ chương trình, bạn có thể gặp các cảnh báo sau:

The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed
Windows Installer Service couldn't be started
Could not start the Windows Installer service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied.

Để khắc phục nguyên nhân gốc rễ, cần đăng ký lại tệp Windows Installer hoặc đơn giản khởi động lại dịch vụ Windows Installer. Dưới đây là hướng dẫn chi tiết.

Khắc phục lỗi Windows Installer Access Denied

Lưu ý: Tạo điểm khôi phục hệ thống trước.

Phương pháp 1: Khởi động lại dịch vụ Windows Installer

Windows + R > services.msc > Enter.
Tìm Windows Installer > chuột phải > Thuộc tính.
Nhấp Bắt đầu (Start) nếu dịch vụ chưa chạy.
Nếu đã chạy, chuột phải > Khởi động lại (Restart).
Thử cài lại chương trình bị lỗi.

Phương pháp 2: Đăng ký lại Windows Installer

Windows + X > Command Prompt (Admin).
Chạy lần lượt 2 lệnh:
msiexec /unreg
msiexec /regserver
Khởi động lại máy.
Nếu chưa khắc phục: Windows + R > nhập %windir%\system32 > Enter.
Tìm Msiexec.exe, ghi nhớ đường dẫn chính xác (ví dụ: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe).
Windows + R > regedit > Enter.
Điều hướng: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer
Chọn MSIServer > bên phải nhấp đúp ImagePath.
Nhập đường dẫn Msiexec.exe vừa ghi nhớ, thêm /V ở cuối:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe /V
Khởi động vào Safe Mode (theo các phương pháp tại đây).
Trong Safe Mode: Windows + X > Command Prompt (Admin).
Chạy 2 lệnh:
msiexec /regserver
%windir%\Syswow64\Msiexec /regserver
Đóng tất cả > khởi động bình thường > kiểm tra. Nếu chưa được, tiếp phương pháp 3.

Phương pháp 3: Đặt lại dịch vụ Windows Installer qua Registry

Mở Notepad > sao chép toàn bộ nội dung registry sau và dán vào:

Menu Notepad > File > Lưu dưới dạng (Save As).
Loại lưu: All Files.
Đặt tên: MSIrepair.reg (phải có đuôi .reg).
Lưu ra Desktop hoặc vị trí bất kỳ.
Chuột phải file MSIrepair.reg > Chạy với tư cách Quản trị viên.
Khởi động lại máy > kiểm tra.

Phương pháp 4: Cài đặt lại Windows Installer

Lưu ý: Chỉ áp dụng cho các phiên bản Windows cũ hơn.

Windows + X > Command Prompt (Admin).
Chạy lần lượt:
cd %windir%\system32
attrib -r -s -h dllcache
ren msi.dll msi.old
ren msiexec.exe msiexec.old
ren msihnd.dll msihnd.old
exit
Khởi động lại máy.
Tải Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable từ trang Microsoft > cài đặt > khởi động lại.
