Khắc phục lỗi Windows Update 0x80004005 (Update Failure)

Lỗi 0x80004005 thường gặp khi cài đặt cập nhật bảo mật (ví dụ KB3087040 - Flash Player). Nguyên nhân: file Windows hỏng, vấn đề kích hoạt, driver, thành phần cập nhật hỏng.

Các phương pháp sửa lỗi 0x80004005

Phương pháp 1: Xóa nội dung thư mục SoftwareDistribution\Download

1. Win+R > %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution\Download.
2. Ctrl+A chọn tất cả > Delete.
3. Xóa luôn trong Recycle Bin > Khởi động lại > Thử cập nhật lại.

Phương pháp 2: Windows Update Troubleshooter

1. Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
2. Chọn Windows Update > Run troubleshooter.
3. Khởi động lại > Kiểm tra cập nhật.

Phương pháp 3: System File Checker (SFC)

1. Command Prompt (Admin) > sfc /scannow.
2. Đợi quét xong > Thử cập nhật lại.

Phương pháp 4: Reset Windows Update Components + Cài đặt thủ công

1. Command Prompt (Admin) chạy lần lượt:
   

   net stop wuauserv
   net stop bits
   net stop cryptsvc

2. Giữ cửa sổ CMD, chạy:
   

   ren %systemroot%\System32\Catroot2 Catroot2.old
   ren %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old

3. Chạy tiếp:
   

   net start wuauserv
   net start bits
   net start cryptsvc

4. Đóng CMD > Thử cập nhật.
5. Nếu vẫn lỗi: Mở Chrome Incognito/Edge > vào Microsoft Update Catalog > tìm mã KB (ví dụ KB3087040) > Download > Cài đặt thủ công.

Phương pháp 5: Clean Boot

1. Win+R > msconfig.
2. General: Selective startup, bỏ tích Load startup items.
3. Services: tích Hide all Microsoft services > Disable all > Apply/OK.
4. Khởi động lại > Thử cập nhật (chỉ chạy dịch vụ Microsoft).

Phương pháp 6: Sửa file opencl.dll hỏng qua DISM

1. Command Prompt (Admin) > chạy:
   

   DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

2. Đợi hoàn tất > Khởi động lại > Thử cập nhật.

Mẹo: Khởi động lại đơn giản đôi khi cũng giải quyết được sự cố.
