Nguyên nhân Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation
Lỗi này xảy ra nếu một trong các điều kiện sau đúng:
1. Thư mục cài đặt gói Windows Installer bị mã hóa.
2. Ổ đĩa chứa thư mục cài đặt được truy cập như substitute drive.
3. Tài khoản SYSTEM không có quyền Full Control trên thư mục cài đặt. Windows Installer service dùng tài khoản SYSTEM để cài phần mềm. Xem How to Install Software Without Admin Rights.
Khắc phục Error 1603: A fatal error occurred during installation
Để tự động khắc phục, dùng fix it tool của Microsoft.
Nếu không hiệu quả, làm theo hướng dẫn:
1) Nhấp đúp "This PC" trên Desktop.
2) Chuột phải ổ đĩa cài đặt > "Properties".
3) Tab "Security" > "Edit".
4) Tích "Allow" cạnh "Full Control" dưới "Permissions" cho user "SYSTEM" > "Apply" > "OK".
5) Nếu không thấy "SYSTEM", nhấp "Add", tên đối tượng ghi "SYSTEM" > OK > lặp bước 4.
6) Quay tab Security > "Advanced".
7) Tích "Replace permission entries on all child objects with entries shown here that apply to child objects." OK. Tích "Reset permissions on all child objects and enable propagation of inheritable permissions" nếu dùng Windows khác. OK.
8) Nhấp "Yes" khi hỏi.
9) Nhấp đúp file cài đặt, không còn lỗi.
Phương pháp 2: Cài Install Ownership Registry Hack
1. Tải và giải nén file.
2. Nhấp đúp InstallTakeOwnership.reg.
3. Chuột phải file báo Error 1603 chọn Take Ownership.
4. Thử cài lại gói cài đặt, lỗi đã khắc phục.
5. Muốn xóa shortcut Take Ownership, nhấp đúp RemoveTakeOwnership.reg.
Phương pháp 3: Khởi động lại Windows Installer Service
1. Windows Key + R > services.msc Enter.
2. Tìm Windows Installer service > chuột phải > Properties.
3. Nhấp Start nếu dịch vụ chưa chạy.
4. Nếu đang chạy, chuột phải > Restart.
5. Thử cài lại chương trình báo access denied.
Phương pháp 4: Đăng ký lại Windows Installer
1. Windows Key + X > Command Prompt (Admin).
2. Gõ lần lượt lệnh sau, Enter sau mỗi lệnh:
%windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /unregister %windir%\system32\msiexec.exe /regserver %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /unregister %windir%\syswow64\msiexec.exe /regserver
3. Khởi động lại PC lưu thay đổi.
4. Nếu chưa khắc phục, Windows key + R gõ sau Enter:
%windir%\system32
5. Tìm file Msiexec.exe, ghi nhớ đường dẫn chính xác (ví dụ: C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe).
6. Windows Key + R > regedit Enter mở Registry Editor.
7. Điều hướng khóa:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSIServer
8. Chọn MSIServer, pane phải nhấp đúp ImagePath.
9. Nhập vị trí Msiexec.exe file ghi nhớ ở trên vào Value data theo sau "/V", dạng:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Msiexec.exe /V
10. Boot vào Safe Mode.
11. Windows Key + X > Command Prompt (Admin).
12. Gõ lệnh Enter:
msiexec /regserver %windir%\Syswow64\Msiexec /regserver
13. Đóng tất cả, boot PC bình thường.
