Lỗi 0x80242006 xuất hiện khi chạy Windows Update (cập nhật tính năng hoặc bản vá). Thường gặp trên các bản: 1709 (16299), 1703 (15063), 1607 (14393), 1803 (17134).
Các cách khắc phục
1. Cấu hình tải trực tiếp từ Windows Update (Group Policy)
- Win → gõ
gpedit.msc→ Enter. - Computer Configuration → Administrative Templates → System.
- Double-click Specify settings for optional component installation and component repair.
- Chọn Enabled, tick Download repair content and optional features directly from windows update instead of windows server update services.
- Apply → OK → Restart → test Windows Update.
2. Kiểm tra dịch vụ BITS (Background Intelligent Transfer Service)
- Win →
services.msc→ Enter. - Tìm Background Intelligent Transfer Service → phải Running. Nếu không, chuột phải → Start.
- Double-click → Startup Type: Automatic → OK.
3. Chạy Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Tải tool từ Microsoft → chạy .exe.
- Chọn Windows Update → Next.
- Nếu hiện prompt → chọn Try troubleshooting as an administrator.
- Để chạy xong → Close → Restart → test update.
4. Reset Windows Update Cache
- Mở CMD Admin.
- Dừng dịch vụ:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptsvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
- Đổi tên thư mục:
ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.old
ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.old
Del "%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\*.*" - Restart máy.
