Khắc phục lỗi Windows 10 tắt máy quá lâu (Stuck on Shutting Down)

Tắt máy Windows không chỉ cắt điện; nó phải đóng tiến trình, lưu dữ liệu, giải phóng bộ nhớ. Nếu quá trình này kéo dài hàng phút, hãy thử các giải pháp dưới đây.

1. Vấn đề phần mềm (Software Problems)

Chương trình không phản hồi hoặc cần lưu dữ liệu sẽ chặn tắt máy. Khi hiện cửa sổ "Programs need to close", hãy Cancel → lưu thủ công → đóng app → tắt máy lại. Mở Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc) kiểm tra app nào ngốn RAM/CPU bất thường.

2. Xem chi tiết tiến trình tắt máy (Verbose Shutdown)

  1. Win+R → regedit → điều hướng: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System
  2. Tìm/ Tạo DWORD (32-bit) VerboseStatus = 1.
  3. Restart. Lần tắt máy sau sẽ hiển thị danh sách tiến trình đang đóng. Ghi nhớ tiến trình chậm → troubleshoot driver/app đó.

Cảnh báo: Sửa registry sai có thể làm hỏng hệ thống. Hãy backup registry trước.

3. Cập nhật Windows & Driver

  1. Settings → Update & Security → Windows Update → Check for updates.
  2. Cài đặt tất cả, restart.

4. Tắt xóa Page File khi tắt máy (ClearPageFileAtShutdown)

  1. Regedit → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management
  2. Tìm ClearPageFileAtShutdown → sửa giá trị = 0 (mặc định 1 = bật).
  3. Restart. Lưu ý: tắt tính năng này giảm bảo mật (page file có thể chứa dữ liệu nhạy cảm).

5. Kiểm tra lỗi ổ cứng (SSD/HDD)

  1. File Explorer → This PC → chuột phải ổ đĩa → Properties → tab Tools → Check (Error checking).
  2. Quét và sửa lỗi bad sector. Nếu hỏng vật lý → thay ổ cứng.

6. Xác định dịch vụ gây chậm qua Event Viewer

  1. Win+X → Event Viewer (hoặc Win+R → eventvwr).
  2. Đường dẫn: Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows > Diagnostics-Performance > Operational
  3. Chuột phải Operational → Filter Current Log → Event ID: 203 → OK.
  4. Xem cột General: tìm dòng "This service caused a delay in the system shutdown process". Ghi nhớ File Name và Friendly Name.
  5. Gỡ ứng dụng/dịch vụ tương ứng (Control Panel → Uninstall).

7. Kiểm tra WaitToKillServiceTimeoutValue

  1. Regedit → HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control
  2. Tìm WaitToKillServiceTimeoutValue (mặc định 5000 = 5 giây).
  3. Nếu giá trị > 5000 (VD 20000 = 20s) → sửa về 5000.
  4. Không đặt dưới 5000 để tránh crash app.

Nếu vẫn không xong: kiểm tra antivirus (tạm tắt/gỡ), sửa lỗi hệ thống, hoặc clean install Windows.
