Không file pop up trong folder Screenshots, không notification góc màn hình, không breadcrumb rõ ràng. Mất vài phút check mọi logical place trước khi question có bấm key không. Thực ra đã bấm. Screenshot ở đó, invisible, ngồi trong clipboard history ẩn của Windows như lá thư chưa ký chưa gửi.
Trải nghiệm làm nhận ra không hiểu Windows handle screenshot như thế nào, và Windows cũng không hiểu, speaking loosely. Cái trông như single feature thực ra là family nhỏ tools, mỗi cái behavior, keyboard shortcut, và idea riêng về nơi capture thuộc về.
Chúng lưu file ở nơi hoàn toàn khác nhau
Tool đầu tiên hầu hết người dùng không nhận ra: key Print Screen - cũ hơn Windows. Bấm PrtScn đơn lẻ copy full snapshot display vào clipboard. Không lưu đâu, không tạo file. Screenshot chỉ tồn tại trong memory, chờ paste vào Paint, Word, đâu cần. Nếu không gì xảy ra bấm PrtScn, có thể cần troubleshoot fix. Bấm Alt + PrtScn, same thing nhưng scoped active window only.
Behavior thay đổi khi bấm Windows key. Win + PrtScn capture full screen và auto save timestamped PNG — thẳng Pictures > Screenshots, không prompt. Màn hình dim brevemente confirm, signal real file tồn tại. Nếu muốn organize drives khác, vài click đổi nơi Windows save screenshots.

- Delay Timer: Set 3, 5, 10 giây delay capture disappearing menus/tooltips.
- Text Actions (OCR): Additional mạnh nhận diện text trong screenshot, cho copy hoặc redact sensitive info (email, phone).
- Screen Recording: Quay video clips bằng switch video icon app hoặc Win + Shift + R. Recordings auto save Videos > Screen Recordings.
Tool thứ ba: Xbox Game Bar, summon Win + G. Trông như gaming overlay — vì nó là — nhưng chạy ngoài game. Bấm Win + Alt + PrtScn khi Game Bar active chụp screenshot auto save, không clipboard involved. Catch: nơi nó gửi file: không Pictures, mà Videos > Captures. Folder hầu hết người chỉ tìm được bằng accident, giải thích nhiều chuyện.
