Khi bật VM (Máy ảo) trong VMware Workstation Player trên Windows 10, nếu gặp lỗi VMware Workstation and Device/Credential Guard not compatible, bài này giúp khắc phục.
Thông báo lỗi đầy đủ:
VMware Player and Device/Credential Guard are not compatible. VMware Player can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard. Please visit https://www.vmware.com/go/turnoff CG DG for more details.
Trên Windows 10, Device Guard và Credential Guard là tính năng bảo mật mới chỉ có trên Windows 10 Enterprise. Device Guard kết hợp phần cứng/phần mềm khóa thiết bị chỉ chạy ứng dụng tin cậy. Credential Guard dùng ảo hóa bảo mật để cô lập bí mật (credential) chỉ phần mềm hệ thống đặc quyền mới truy cập được, ngăn chặn tấn công đánh cắp credential (NTLM hash, Kerberos tickets).
Windows 10 Pro có sẵn Hyper-V. Bật Hyper-V cũng bật Credential Guard. Tắt Hyper-V sẽ tắt Credential Guard.
VMware Workstation và Device/Credential Guard không tương thích
Dựa trên lỗi: VMware Player can be run after disabling Device/Credential Guard. Giải pháp 2 bước:
- Tắt Hyper-V (nếu đang bật)
- Tắt Device Guard Policy qua Registry Editor
1. Tắt Hyper-V (nếu đã bật)
- Win+R → gõ
appwiz.cpl→ Enter mở Programs and Features. - Bên trái nhấp Turn Windows features on or off.
- Bỏ tích Hyper-V → OK.
Hyper-V sẽ bị tắt. Khởi động lại máy, sau đó làm Bước 2.
2. Tắt Device Guard Policy qua Registry Editor
Lưu ý: Thao tác Registry, hãy backup Registry hoặc tạo System Restore point trước.
- Win+R →
regedit→ Enter. - Đến khóa:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\DeviceGuard - Bên phải, đúp chuột EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity → sửa Value data = 0. Nếu không có, tạo mới: chuột phải khoảng trắng → New > DWORD (32-bit) Value → đặt tên EnableVirtualizationBasedSecurity → giá trị 0.
- Đến khóa:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa - Bên phải, đúp chuột LsaCfgFlags → Value data = 0.
Thoát Registry Editor, restart máy. VMware sẽ chạy bình thường.
Có thể tắt Device Guard policy qua Local Group Policy Editor.
