Lumia 640 LTE & WP10 review - Rất decent

Câu chuyện ngắn: người bạn - có, tôi có bạn - cho mượn Lumia 640 vài ngày, để tôi sample hàng cho review trung thực. Quan trọng hơn, Windows Phone 10 làm gì.
Kinh nghiệm trước với Windows touch: bi-polar. Desktop, Win 8 horrible, nhưng kick ass trên Lumia 520, 535. Desktop, Win 10 just okay. Làm mọi thứ confusing, dù touch, không blow me away trên HP Stream tablet, tôi revert Win 8. Xem WP10 trên phone có tốt không. Đi nào.
Lumia 640 ở cái nhìn đầu
Tôi không làm whole new product thing, vì a) thấy một Lumia là thấy hết, tốt b) quan trọng hơn, không phải thiết bị mới, có battle scars nhỏ từ chủ gốc. Đùa. Tôi không bao giờ bạn với ai không share mức meticulous fanatical về hardware. Nhưng bạn hiểu drift.
Phone nhẹ, robust, nhớ 535 hơn 520 nhỏ. Không nút hardware, có software menu, roll up/down. Lãng phí screen space, vì bottom border có thể narrow. Vẫn, bạn làm menu biến, lấy screen equity. Tôi wonder reasoning design. Phải cost.
Nói màn hình, Lumia 640 LTE 5 inch, 1280x720px, 294ppi, 16M true colors, như bài Cindy Lauper. Spec: 1200MHz quad-core Snapdragon 400, 1GB RAM, 8GB internal storage micro-SD lên 128GB, sensors everywhere. List quá dài chán. Pin 2500 mAh.
Màn hình limit 720p, nhưng quay video 1080p 30fps, digital zoom 4x, ảnh 8MP (quality thì khác). Front camera 0.9MP wide-lens, quay 720p.
Phone gốc WP8, bạn nâng cấp free. Giống tôi, muốn xem OS mới làm gì, cải thiện touch world. Đủ boring. Test đi.
Same same but different
Nếu dùng Windows Phone trước, Lumia 640 không lạ. Vẫn tiled interface thẩm mỹ và chức năng superior, màu đơn giản, sạch. Muốn drama confusion home screen, enliven tiles, spin, display info, thay background ảnh. Tôi chọn serene look.
Tôi không thích multi-app tile groups, nhất là khi change, không border defined. Nếu square OCD look, đi hết. Rồi quá nhiều gray. Menu và option hơi overcrowded. Giá của maturity.
Network connectivity tốt, nhưng chỉ 2.4GHz Wireless. Không 5GHz. Không test Bluetooth, quên, bây giờ muộn. Không vấn đề chất lượng tín hiệu, không phone - tôi cắm SIM mình rồi tháo, test mostly không phone network - không Wi-Fi. Alles Klar, Herr Kommissar!
Có 1 vấn đề: phone tự reconnect Wi-Fi, dù tôi tắt. Wonder setting gì govern này. Nhưng nếu set off, phải stay off. Hiểu không?
Ứng dụng
Bạn nhận nhiều. Rồi không. Kỹ thuật, Windows Store năm sau Android iOS, resonate hard với plebes. Nhưng nếu nghĩ, chỉ có 20-30 app quan trọng hàng ngày.
Popular stuff có, extra cream Lumia software và HERE suite bombastic. Nhưng extra vài cái tạo age of hope, discontinued. Không bode well Microsoft, không inspire confidence. Bỏ emotion, không gì amiss với repertoire simple, solid, practical cho Windows Phone. Ít relevant người như tôi.
Time to say goodbye.
Điều hướng
Yếu tố rock solid, HERE Maps và Drive. Download map, dùng offline, hoặc online live traffic. Đánh bại mọi thứ market. Simple as that. Nhưng có catch.
Lo and behold, HERE Maps và Drive không còn available cho Windows 10, từ 30/6/2016. Windows 8, không map mới feature develop/release, dù product tồn tại chạy. First glance, big problem, vì key selling feature Windows Phone là offline navigation superior.
Death knell cho Windows Store ecosystem? Wait. Not all lost. App mới Windows Maps, thay thế HERE pair trên WP10. Thực tế, based trên HERE software, report as such. Work quite tốt, map download qua HERE apps cũng available. No biggie.
Tuy nhiên, câu hỏi WP8 users sao? Bị forced dùng abandoned outdated products push upgrade WP10? Nếu không upgrade được? Không mua phone mới? Hoặc không muốn?
Câu trả lời: Microsoft Maps, free app WP8. Integrate HERE Maps, work tốt. Nhưng voice navigation redirect về HERE Drive. Dùng imperial units thay metric, không tìm easy way change settings. Wonky disappointing. To investigate.
Nếu thực tế Microsoft abandon WP8 users offline maps, vì muốn profit WP10, kill supported app trước OS boot, tôi có thể quyết định không mua Windows Phone next smartphone, out of pure spite. Stupid move tôi, vì không định dùng Android iPhone, compromise, nhưng không condone stupidity này.
Tôi không full answer dilemma. Giải pháp đơn giản: mua WP10 phone, miễn Microsoft develop/sell. Nhưng dubious, vì app kéo kệ, death near. Ah well, fun while lasted. Hoặc mua Nokia mới, 'tis coming back, sẽ feature HERE software, app giờ có Android, chúng ta biết answer. Nokia forevar. Indeed.
Nói Windows Maps, app work beautiful. HERE rebranded, no sweat. 2 components combined under single umbrella. HERE Transit bundled.
Cortana
Meh. All AI assistants suck. IQ con chuột say, useless. Bạn chơi 17 phút, nhận ra bạn có life, đi về business bình thường. Oh, bật Cortana, struggle tìm nút tắt. Later.
Edge
Lại paradox Windows, seen action nhiều lần. Product naturally suck desktop look fine mobile. Wrong form factor usability cases. Edge okay browser small touch, horrible idea large non-touch.
Vẫn mild lobotomy. Tại sao tôi care Bing image of the day? Inspirational promotional nonsense? Tin tức. Oh tin tức. Tại sao cater moronity? Không để người chọn content?
Microsoft Office
Concept thú vị. Nhưng từ ít tôi discern, mobile office platform không interesting như desktop. Nhưng bạn không làm serious officing trên phone. Vẫn, nice thấy product available, dù không 100% dùng full efficient extent.
Multimedia
Curious beast. Tôi không biết người thường làm gì phone, consume film music. Nếu chỉ mua official store, không vấn đề. Load own stuff, có thể.
WP10 complain WebM - không cho copy file lên device, tôi dùng Ubuntu. Gosh O'Blimey. MP4 work, nhưng không audio. MP3 cushty. Play khi lock screen. Ít lỗi hơn Lumia 520 gốc.
Annoying video landscape: Windows menu, nếu show, hiện portrait mode, left hoặc right screen, tùy cầm phone. What. Not meant to be.
Load subtitle - visual bug khác, subtitle overlay che timestamp non-OCD. Unrelated, cast playback trên device khác. Maybe. Không test smart TV hoặc laptop mới.
Mua nhạc và such
Quản lý content dễ, bao gồm own. Cắm USB, để music video category refresh, xong. So sánh ordeal iPhone, ~6 tháng fail copy 1 file nhạc. Nếu thích, spend money online. Không explore sâu, flamboyance effect ít hơn Samsung S5. Microsoft không pimp payware. Sau disco color sensation platform khác, bạn có thể underwhelmed.

Camera
Work fine overall. Chụp decent nawet vào mặt trời, software responsive touch. Không blow mind, nhưng work reasonably. Tôi nghĩ, so với iPhone, handle glare tốt hơn, color resolution refined hơn, nhưng Apple gadget sharpness cao hơn.
Settings
Manage settings turn worse WP10 so với WP8. OS trước simpler, less clutter. Quá nhiều option, flow confusing, search tools features có thể không tìm thấy.
Security & privacy
Tôi nhắc privacy trước. Nhưng bạn fine tune tweak như ý. Option encrypt filesystem, ai access không tamper data. Data, auto backup OneDrive, find-my-phone.
Giống desktop, nhiều privacy option, để phone làm gì cần/ muốn, hoặc disable access nếu không comfortable online. Khả năng tweak privacy có, chỉ tedious. Bạn thấy screenshot privacy trước, không repeat.
Updates
Bạn skip big phone update, để tôi test. Truth, nothing special. Phone mất lúc ăn bytes think, rồi updated. End of story.
Hiệu năng & ổn định
Really neat. Fast, lithe. Không error, bug. Nothing crash hang. Tôi hard boot iPhone 2 tuần/lần touch stop respond, không unlock. Lumia không bao giờ issue. Same here. Highly polished product, work well. Performance tốt. Nhưng... so với WP8 - aha! - chậm half blink. Maybe. Either way, không frustrated. Smooth operator.
Pin
Pretty decent. Aggressive dùng, ~2 ngày trước charge. Khó so Lumia 520, ~25-30% hơn, nhưng ít sensor, simple hơn. Không chê. Decent.
Kết luận
Lumia 640 LTE với Windows Phone 10 là thiết bị pretty decent. Không đẹp nhất, không humble awesomeness Lumia 520, nhưng natural progression dòng smartphone solid, classy. Lạ Windows touch vô dụng desktop, mà sense trên phone. Clean, simple, elegant lines. Spartan design, OCD, whatever. Just great. Tôi giận maps navigation, nhưng xem evolve.
Functionality pretty good. Popular practical stuff, menu settings detail drama occupy không feel inferior Android iOS, security privacy decent, phone fast responsive. Nếu không vào hype sensory overload, Lumia 640 LTE good mid-range compromise. Phone làm basics tốt, offline maps, understated consumerism. This is how it should be. Linux guy owns Microsoft shares, thinks retardation peak Win 8 desktop, brilliance apex mobile. Go figure. Grade ~8.5/10. Definitely worth trying, WP10 okay. Better than desktop, sure. Off you go, birdies.
