Hướng dẫn xóa bộ nhớ đệm Windows Update trên Windows 10 thủ công

Xóa thủ công bộ nhớ đệm (cache) Windows Update giải quyết hầu hết lỗi cài đặt bản cập nhật mới trên Windows 10.

Tại sao cần xóa cache? Nếu Windows Update báo lỗi (như hình hoặc lỗi "Windows Update Components Must Be Repaired"), nguyên nhân thường do file cập nhật tải không hoàn tất hoặc bị hỏng. Các bước dưới đây sẽ khắc phục.

Cách 1: Xóa cache Windows Update thủ công qua giao diện

1. Win → gõ "File Explorer" → Enter.
   
2. Chuột phải Local Disk (C:) → Properties.
   
3. Tab General → Disk Clean-up.
   
4. Chọn Clean up system files.
   
5. Tick vào "Windows upgrade log files" và "Temporary Windows Installation files" → OK.
   
6. Win → gõ services → mở ứng dụng Services.
   
7. Tìm Windows Update → chuột phải → Stop (chờ < 1 phút).
   
8. Mở File Explorer → truy cập C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution.
   
9. Chuột phải thư mục Download → Delete → Yes.
   
10. Restart máy → chạy Windows Update lại.

Cách 2: Xóa cache qua Command Prompt

1. Win → gõ CMD → chuột phải → Run as administrator.
2. UAC → Yes.
3. Gõ lần lượt:
   net stop wuauserv (dừng dịch vụ Windows Update)
   C:
cd %Windir%\SoftwareDistribution
del /f /s /q Download
   
4. Restart máy.

Cách 3: Tạo script tự động xóa cache

1. Mở Notepad.
2. Dán code sau:
   @Echo On
net stop wuauserv
C:
cd %Windir%\SoftwareDistribution
del /f /s /q Download
pause
3. Lưu file tên Cleardown.cmd ra Desktop.
4. Chuột phải file → Run as administrator.
5. Script chạy xong sẽ pause để xem kết quả.

Cách 4: Reset Windows Update Components (Nâng cao)

Nếu các cách trên không được, reset toàn bộ component Windows Update:

1. Mở CMD Admin.
2. Gõ lần lượt:
   net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
3. Tiếp tục:
   ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
4. Restart máy.

Đăng ký lại file DLL của BITS và Windows Update

Đăng ký lại các file DLL liên quan để khôi phục cài đặt mặc định:

1. Mở CMD Admin.
2. Gõ lần lượt các lệnh:
   cd /d %windir%\system32

3. Restart máy.

Vị trí cache Windows Update: C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download. Nên xóa thư mục này vài tháng/lần vì nó lớn dần theo thời gian.
